Medical Research Advisor: Oliver J. Wisco, DO, FAAD

As healthcare is undergoing turbulent changes due to economic instability and the need for a stable medical infrastructure, Uriel Medical Foundation strives to ensure that the focus of health remains on wellness and prevention, not solely on the means to distribute care.

The vision of Uriel's Medical Research Division is to enhance health and wellness by supporting research on preventative medicine and quality improvement.

Research and Healthcare Reform Initiatives

Dr Wisco's current primary focus is to develop a sustainable quality improvement program for the American Academy of Dermatology.  As healthcare reform's accountable care organizations (ACO) continue to develop, Dr Wisco has taken an active role to ensure that the proposed ACO quality measurement programs maintain a focus on improving the care of our patients.
